VMWare
Know VMWare? It is an application that can create new computers in our computer.
So later, if installed, we can make a fake computer (virtual machine). Fake computer can be turned on and off. If turned on, it looks really like the computer is on, ie no memory check, can enter the BIOS, it can even boot via any network.
Once created, these fake computer we can install any operating system. The number of fake computer can also be more than one. Every computer we can fake ration cation of memory and hard drive as you wish. So it can happen, in a single computer run three linux distro (Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora) and two versions of Windows (XP and 2000) simultaneously.
VMWare application is very important when we develop an application that must be able to work well in a variety of operating systems and konfigurasi.Jadi we do not need to have a lot of computers to be able to test applications simultaneously.
A few weeks ago, VMWare eliminate application server. Well ... my immediate rush to download and install.
Installation on Linux (Debian Sarge) kernel headers needed. So, do this first: apt-get install kernel-headers-2.6-686-smp
Only then install VMWare.
Installing VMWare's easy, just log in as root, run the installation script, and the next few times. We will be asked to enter a serial number. Serial number will be sent to our email address at the time of registration on our website. To be able to download we have registered first.
After VMWare installed, we can begin to make a fake computer mungkin.Sekarang much as I can use Visio and Project M $ on my Linux computer.
